Named after a wagon owned by singer Joey Cape’s mother, Californian punk rock legends Lagwagon came to existence in 1990. Signed to Fat Wreck Chords since the band’s inception, they released 7 albums and were one of the leading forces of California’s punk rock scene in the 90’s.
Although never reaching (or aiming to reach) strong mainstream success during their career, their 1998 album Let’s Talk About Feelings is often considered one of the most important records to pop punk and modern skate punk. Their hit song “May 16th” being included in the soundtrack for the popular PlayStation game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 helped to build their cult following across the world.
