Joint alias shared by both Kingpin Skinny Pimp and his ex-wife on a handful of Memphis tapes, most notably on Sumthin Fa Da Streets Parts 1 and 2 (1993) as well as on, Strictly for That Nigga (1994).
When used by Skinny Pimp, Lady Bee’s “voice” was marked by a sped-up, pitch-shifted delivery — often compared to the “chipmunk” effect heard in remixes of popular tracks. In reality, these vocals were Skinny Pimp himself imitating his ex-wife.
The actual Lady B. recorded Sumthin Fa Da Streets Part 1 in 1993—with Kingpin Skinny Pimp handling production—prior to their split. She later founded Lady Bee Records in the late ‘90s and even ran a grocery/beauty shop in Memphis.
Together, Lady Bee and Skinny Pimp have a son ATM RichBaby—born 1993. According to fellow Memphis rapper The Legend Lady J, the two have remained in touch over the years.
