La Revolución De Emiliano Zapata are a Guadalajara-based Mexican group. They were primarily influenced by and started as a Psychadelic Rock group in the early 70’s, but later expanded towards new sounds like Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Classic Rock and Ballads.

La Revolución De Emiliano Zapata shot to local and national fame after they won a radio contest and Polydor produced a single for them: “Nasty Sex”, due to the success of the single, a follow up was produced “Shit City”, both of them became moderately successful in Mexico, USA and Europe. The group gained recognition and were awarded five medals for their singles sales by Polydor in Hamburg, Germany.

The group is stil active as “La Revo”, and occasionally plays at festivals, concerts and 70’s Mexican Rock events in Mexico.
