About Kyle Lucas

If it seems like Kyle Lucas is all over the place, that’s because he is. A kid from Marietta, Georgia, Kyle was raised on a steady diet of Less Than Jake, Blink 182, and Coheed & Cambria. Like most kids growing up near the home of Outkast, Kyle couldn’t escape his love for hip-hop. At 15, Kyle began rapping and later found a way to blend his eclectic taste in music. He formed Vonnegutt, a punk/hip hop/dance hybrid band that was quickly discovered and signed by Big Boi of Outkast to his Purple Ribbon Records Label.

After extensive touring that included runs with G-Eazy, Chiddy Bang, Sammy Adams, Mod Sun, and more including stops on Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and even the Late Show with David Letterman, the band decided to call it quits. That wasn’t going to stop Kyle. He had been earning a name for himself in the hip-hop scene for years with the release of several solo mixtapes. In that time he made songs with a who’s who of artists including: Big Boi of Outkast, Jonny Craig, T. Mills, Machine Gun Kelly, Hoodie Allen, Cassadee Pope, and more.

2015 is a time of promise with the recently released project “The Blueprint for Going in Circles” from Jonny Craig, Captain Midnite and Kyle recorded under their group moniker: Jonny x Kyle x Midnite, the highly anticipated debut solo album: “Marietta, Georgia: The Album” set for release in August, as well as a steady solo touring schedule that has already taken him across America before March. It’s finally time for Kyle Lucas to truly be all over the place.
