Kyle Alessandro Helgesen Villalobos, better known as Kyle Alessandro, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Born on March 10, 2006, in Levanger, Norway, he was raised in the town of Steinkjer. Kyle is of mixed heritage—his mother is Norwegian, and his father is Spanish, originally from Madrid, with roots in Fuengirola, Andalusia.
He first gained national attention at the age of 10 when he participated in Norske Talenter (Norway’s Got Talent) in 2017. In 2023, Kyle joined the pop group Umami Tsunami and competed in Norway’s national selection for Eurovision, Melodi Grand Prix, with the song “Geronimo”, reaching the final.
In 2025, he returned to Melodi Grand Prix as a solo artist with the song “Lighter”, co-written with Swedish producer Adam Woods. The song was inspired by his mother’s battle with cancer and carries a message of inner strength and resilience. His heartfelt performance earned him the victory, making him Norway’s official representative for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
“Lighter” blends modern pop with traditional flamenco elements like rumba flamenca and palmas, paying tribute to Kyle’s Spanish roots. This unique blend of styles highlights Kyle’s multicultural background and artistic identity.
Fun Fact: Before his rise in Eurovision, Kyle had already built a fanbase on social media and was recognized for his charisma and vocal strength, becoming one of Norway’s most promising young talents.
