About Kyla

Kyla Reid (born. September 22, 1983) is a British house singer under the UK funky subgenre, from Huntingdon, England. She released the 2008 hit song “Do you mind” produced by Crazy Cousinz which peaked at #48 on the U.K singles chart a year later in 2009.

Taking a musical hiatus to start a family, she rose to fame once again in 2016 after the aforementioned “Do you mind” was sampled on Drake’s “One Dance” featuring afrobeat artist Wizkid and herself. The song reached #1 in 15 countries including Canada, France and Australia and topped the U.S Billboard Hot 100 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. It was later certified 7x platinum by RIAA becoming all artists first number one record.

Later that year, she featured on Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me”. She released “You ain’t Me” featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan in September 2017.
