About Kwengface

Kwengface (born 1998) is a UK drill rapper from the Peckham area in South London. He is a part of Zone 2, a major drill collective within Peckham containing other rappers such as PS Hitsquad, Trizzac, Snoopy, and many others.

Growing up in the gritty streets of Peckham where it was known for being a warzone for rival gangs, he saw himself in the street tales of the rapper Giggs, modelling his flow off him as well as the Afrobeats and bashment artists he listened to as well, he went by his old moniker Narsty until changing it later on in his career.

Since his come up with some of his drill hits such as Auntie and No Hook, he’s become known for his winding flows and steely delivery as he emerged in the late 2010s as a blossoming star in the scene.

In 2021, he dropped his debut mixtape, YPB: Tha Come Up. On that release, Kweng sounds poised after years of cutting his teeth in the drill circuit, as well as hardened by the authorities whose anti-gang measures kept him from releasing the record. His is the story of UK drill’s promising future.
