About Kurtis McKenzie

Kurtis McKenzie, or The Arcade, is a Grammy-winning record producer, songwriter, and musician from London, England. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Iggy Azalea, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Doja Cat, and many more. He is known for his versatility and creativity, blending different genres and influences to create unique and catchy songs.

McKenzie started his musical journey young, learning to play various instruments and developing a passion for music production. He attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, where he met fellow producer Jonny Lattimer and formed the production duo The Arcade. They began making beats and sending them to various artists and labels, hoping to get noticed. Their breakthrough came in 2014 when they co-produced and co-wrote Iggy Azalea’s smash hit Fancy, which topped the charts in several countries and won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance.

Since then, McKenzie has established himself as one of the most sought-after producers in the industry, working with a diverse range of artists and genres. He has co-produced and co-written songs such as Don’t Wanna Know by Maroon 5 feat. Kendrick Lamar, Ain’t Shit by Doja Cat, 12.38 by Childish Gambino feat. 21 Savage, Ink Kadhja Bonet, and many more. He has also received accolades for his work, such as a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Song for Taki Taki by DJ Snake feat. Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, and an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA.

McKenzie is currently based in Los Angeles, where he continues to produce and write songs for various artists. He is also working on his solo project, which he describes as a fusion of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music. He hopes to release his debut album shortly.
