Chris Thomas (Kurisu) is a sound designer, composer, and music producer from North London, UK. He grew up learning Piano, Cello, and Flute from the age of 5 (now Grade 8 in all three), and went on to play in Orchestras across London by the age of 16. Since joining the session world, he has become proficient with guitar and bass.
After graduating from the University of York with a BEng in Electronic Engineering, Chris went on to achieve a Distinction MSc in Music and Sound for Film & Games. Here he developed the theory and practicalities behind fitting sound design and composition to visual productions; practicing with narrative film, video games, and trailers.
Since graduating, Chris has landed various sound design roles for adverts, where campaigns have been shown on TV and across social media platforms. Although he specialises in advertisement, Chris has experience with short films and implementing video game audio with Unity.
From 2020 to present, Chris has focused the majority of his attention towards music production and songwriting, seeing releases with the likes of Cat Burns, No Rome, Kamal., Arz, Col3trane, AntsLive and more. He currently works with Anne-Marie, No Rome, Griff, Rachel Chinouriri, Young Chencs, P2J, Charlotte Plank, Nastylgia and others.
