About KUN (NCT)

Qian Kun (钱锟), born January 1, 1996, and known professionally as KUN (쿤), is a Chinese performer, producer, and composer based in South Korea. KUN is the main vocalist and sub-rapper of K-pop group NCT and its sub-units NCT U and WayV—sub-unit he’s also the leader of.

In 2015, KUN was introduced as part of SM Entertainment’s pre-debut training team SMROOKIES. KUN participated in the Chinese version of NCT U’s “WITHOUT YOU,” released in 2016, however, KUN didn’t officially debut in NCT until 2018, when he made an appearance in NCT 2018’s shared song “Black on Black.”

On January 17, 2019, he debuted in NCT’s China-based sub-unit WayV with “理所当然 (Regular).” On June 16, 2021, KUN made his debut as a member of WayV’s first sub-unit alongside member Xiaojun, with the single album Back To You. Aside from his activities with WayV and NCT, KUN works on his own music and uploads it regularly on his SoundCloud and YouTube accounts.
