Kristin M. Hersh, born August 7, 1966, co-founded the influential alternative rock band Throwing Muses with her step-sister Tanya Donelly.
During and after the break-up of Throwing Muses, Hersh was putting out solo albums, starting with 1994’s Hips and Makers.
In 2003, she founded and fronted a new alternative rock band, 50FootWave.
