Kota Banks is an artist & songwriter hailing from Sydney’s north. After signing a publishing deal with Mushroom Music, she started her career by writing songs for artists including Judah Kelly, Tabitha Nauser, Jai Waetford, and Super Cruel. Her 2016 single “Empty Streets,” with MOZA, charted in the top five of Spotify’s viral chart.
Her debut album, Prize, was released in 2018, via Nina Las Vegas‘ independent label NLV Records. Notably, she provided vocals and songwriting for Scottish producer SOPHIE’s debut album the same year.
In 2019, she provided vocals on two songs from Cashmere Cat’s sophomore album Princess Catgirl, and began releasing a series of solo singles including “20 Missed Calls” and “Feel Again.”
In 2020, she released her Sweet & The Spice EP, featuring production from longtime collaborator Swick and Chunkyluv. Later that year, she released a collaborative EP with fellow Australian artist Ninajirachi, followed by tour dates around Australia.
