Leon Eric “Kix” Brooks III was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 12, 1955. He has one sister, one half-sister, one half-brother, and an adopted brother. He married Barbara on August 1, 1981. He almost didn’t make it to his own wedding, because he overslept. The 6'2" singer-songwriter is the father of two, Molly and Eric.
Kix is one-half of the award winning duo, Brooks & Dunn.
In his solo career, he is known for “Bring It On Home”.
