Kirsten Caroline Dunst (born April 30, 1982) is an American actress. She begun her career during childhood, debuting on Woody Allen’s contribution to the anthology film New York Stories (1989), before a breakout role as the vampire Claudia in Interview with the Vampire (1994), which got her a Golden Globe nomination. The transition to adulthood had other successful movies such as Little Women, Jumanji, Wag the Dog and Bring It On.

Dunst achieved fame for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy (2002–07), and in the meantime starred in romantic comedies Wimbledon and Elizabethtown, the science fiction comedy-drama Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and the biopic Marie Antoinette. Ever since, Dunst has taken a lower profile, with her best known starring roles being Lars von Trier’s Melancholia (2011), which earned her Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival, and the second season of the television series Fargo (T.V Series), winning the Critics' Choice Award and being nominated for the Golden Globe and Emmy.
