Hailing from Islington, North London, Kiico is a rapper whose confident lyrical display and characterization of the tough streets of his hometown allow him to bare his harsh reality and struggles to his listensers.
When Kiico was about five years old, he found a notebook of raps that his father had written, which inspired him to start rapping. At an early age, his father went to prison which made him grow up quickly and come the man of the house. As he grew and started to control his own future, he suddenly faced two roads: the path of music or the dangerous North London streets. Thankfully, Kiico made the right decision, choosing the former.
In 2019, Kiico participated in BBC’s The Rap Game UK, hosted by BBC Radio 1Xtra’s DJ Target and UK rap duo Krept & Konan. He competed against rappers from all across the United Kingdom, such as Ransom FA (Aberdeen, Scotland), F.O.S (Scunthorpe, England), Chade Paine (Harrow, England) and J Lucia (St. Lucia, Caribbean/Essex, England). Crowned the winner of the show, he was the first signee to Krept & Konan’s Play Dirty record label at only 19 years old.
