‘Love Lies’ is a single from the soundtrack for Love, Simon, a brand new LGBTQIA+ teen drama. Zane Lowe premiered the highly anticipated single at 17:00 (GMT) on Beats 1 today. Since then we’ve been in awe, listening to it on repeat. The brand new track is a modern ballad about heartbreak which puts Normani and Khalid’s talent center stage.

As well as playing the single on Beats 1, Normani and Khalid were also interviewed by Zane. Discussing Normani, Khalid said: “She’s so like me in so many different ways and we have so much fun together and she’s so honest and so real and just nice.”

He also went on to mention: “There’s not a lot of nice people in the world but she’s one of the nicest.” Meanwhile, on why the song is so good, Normani revealed: “It’s just because we’re genuine friends.” “I’m recording full-time on tour. I have a good friend of mine who is engineering the whole thing. I recorded a couple songs in the past few weeks that are my best songs yet.” – @thegreatkhalid on his next album.
