keyframes (formerly known as kieru) is an artist from San Diego, known for his work in the underground community and work in San Diego scene under his company Hazy Tapes with fleamarkets.

Beginning to make music in 2021, keyframes first published his music to SoundCloud, going by the name kumorii. In 2023, he began going by the alias kieru, publishing music under the hyperpop, digicore & discoplugg genres.

In May 2024, keyframes founded Hazy Tapes, a D.I.Y. label dedicated to making cassette tapes for artists in the underground, launching with the release of rimeren cassettes. In July, he branched out to CDs and enlisted fleamarkets as co-owner of the company. Hazy Tapes has done work with artists such as Lucy Bedroque, icemop, Rachel Prancer, and more, creating an impressive lineup of releases within just the first six months of the company’s inception.

He also started to take music more seriously, both as an artist and as a community figure. Citing more experimental artists such as Jane Remover as inspirations, he has also organized shows for artists such as Cyrus Nyx, showcasing his versatility both as a music artist and in his local scene.

Today, he continues to organize shows and release physical media under his Hazy Tapes company, and still makes music under his alias keyframes.
