Kevin Bivona (born November 8, 1986) is a musician from Van Nuys, California. Best known his musical engineering skills, his career began in 2005 when he played keys for the punk rock rap band, Transplants, during the Warped Tour. After the Tour, he began working in L.A. as a recording engineer, and he kept working with Transplants as a touring member (though, in 2017 he became a full-time member). In 2011, he and his brothers, twins Jesse and Justin, began playing music with Aimee Allen, a ska musician. Togther, they formed The Interrupters, a ska punk band, which he plays bass for.
In 2012, Bivona was heavily involved with a project with future bandmade, Tim Timebomb, where he would gather musicians and record a song a week. Bivona played the organ, drums, guitar, and also provided vocals for the project. After the Timebomb project, Bivona became involved as an engineer for Timebomb’s main band, Rancid, who soon started working with The Interrupters.
He has also done the mastering and engineering with artists such as +44, Jimmy Cliff, YELAWOLF, Travis Barker, and Sublime with Rome, even helping some break into the mainstream.
Not much is known about Kevin’s youth, except that he has played shows with several bands who never achieved mainstream success.
