Keith Thomas (born Brian Keith Thomas) is an American songwriter and music producer.
Thomas started out as the lead singer of his father’s gospel group at age 9. He was a session keyboardist while in high school. This caught the attention of Ronnie Milsap, who brought Thomas on as his first staff writer for his newly formed publishing company. During this time, he produced 16 albums and earned over 20 #1 singles.
After leaving Milsap’s company, Thomas crossed over to pop, co-writing Amy Grant’s #1 Top 40 hit “Baby, Baby”.
In all, Thomas has had over 20 Grammy nominations and multiple Grammy awards in categories like Producer of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. He’s had over 40 #1 singles. He’s wrote, produced and collaborated with Whitney Houston, Heather Headley, Jessica Simpson, Luther Vandross, Amy Grant, Bebe & Cece Winans, 98°, Vanessa Williams, Brian McKnight, Mandy Moore, Claude Kelly, Liz Rose, Marcus Hummon, Amy Foster, Chris Mann, Danny Gokey and many others.
