Keith Moon was the drummer for British rock band The Who. Also nicknamed ‘'Moon the Loon’‘ for his sometimes drunken antics (including, famously, stuffing cherry bombs down hotel toilets and blowing them up), he died in 1978 from an overdose of pills to help him cope with his alcohol abuse. He remains one of rock’s most influential drummers.
