Karl Zine is a London based writer-producer, multi-instrumentalist and jazz drummer. He has been longlist nominated for the MPG Breakthrough Producer of the Year 2021. His work has been described by The Most Radicalist as “one of the most impressive examples of modern electronic pop 2020 has to offer”. Tracks he has written/produced have been supported by New Music Friday, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and 6 music. His debut solo album ‘Hyper’ is released on 8th January 2021.
As producer and performer in RINNGS, he has released a number of singles including 2 in the first Q of 2020, garnering support from Radio 1, Spotify (New Music Friday, WW, UK, Sweden), Apple Music (New Fire, Best of Week, Breaking Electronic), BBC Introducing, and enthusiastic reviews from blogs such as the Line of Best Fit/The 405/The Independent etc.
Upcoming cuts include ‘Hell With You’ for Hanne Mjoen (Virgin). Syncs include ‘Runaways’ (Marvel), ‘To All The Boys I Loved Before’ (film and soundtrack) and ‘Life’ (BBC). Recent singles include lead tracks for breakthrough artists Sophia Amato and Izzy Warner.
