Kamal Uddin is a British-Bangladeshi imam, multilingual munshid, songwriter and teacher from Hyde, Manchester. In August 2005, his debut album ‘In the Name of Allah’ was released. In December 2005, he performed at the 1st Global Peace and Unity Event in ExCeL, London and returned to perform there in 2008. In May 2006, his second album Illallah, was released. In September 2008, he won Islam Channel’s Nasheed Contest presented by Rakin from Mecca2Medina. He has toured across the world in places such as South Africa, Norway and the United States.
After an 8-year gap from releasing new tracks, Kamal Uddin made a comeback in 2018 as a feature in Omar Esa’s charity track titled Stand Together. As of April 2020, he is signed to Free Voice Records.
