About KALEO

KALEO (“the voice” in Hawaiian) is an Icelandic alternative rock band established in 2012. The band originally consisted of Jökull “Julius Son” Júlíusson (vocals and guitar), Davíð Antonsson (percussion and vocals), Daníel Ægir Kristjánsson (bass) and Rubin Pollock (guitar and vocals). They gained their initial fame with “Vor í vaglaskógi,” which is now included on the original soundtrack to the TV Series Trapped.
Their fame continued with singles like “Way Down We Go” and “All the Pretty Girls,” but mostly with their song “No Good,” which appeared in the HBO series, Vinyl.

After four years, Julius Son took charge of the new KALEO project and released Surface Sounds on the 23rd of April, 2021. It was initially scheduled to be released in mid 2020, but had to be delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
