Buffalo based Kai Taylor is a rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Raised in Church, Kai has been influenced by music his entire life. Which is a credit to his father who has impacted him tremendously. Listening to his father play the piano would bring him joy and led to him enrolling in piano lessons at age 5. It was Kai’s sister, Jocelyn Bowman, who introduced him to secular music. She would take him on car rides where he would fall in love with R&B tunes that would stick with him throughout his adolescence.

Kai’s sound is influenced by artists like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, JuiceWRLD & Usher. Hip Hop, RnB, lyricism and melodies have had an effect on him; this is instilled in his self expression.
