When Kabwasa discovered his grandfather was a political leader in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he knew he wanted to be a leader himself. Exposure to conscious hip-hop music during in his formative years in Watsonville, CA set off a lightbulb in his head; he saw it as an opportunity to carry on the legacy of social activists before him and began rapping to advocate for social equity. Today, he is as passionate as ever to fight for the underrepresented while remaining dynamic enough to show his eccentric side and even explore the realm of R&B. He hopes to bring awareness to the socially disadvantaged while putting the 831 on the map.
