Initially rising to fame as a Tik Toker and a member of the content creator collective Sway House, jxdn has since become one of the most popular artists of the new-wave pop punk revival of the early 2020s.
Born Jaden Isaiah Hossler on February 8, 2001, jxdn lived in Texas for the first fourteen years of his life before moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Joining Tik Tok in 2019, in just two years he had amassed a following of nine million on the platform by the end of 2020.
Self-releasing his debut single, “Comatose”, in February 2020, the song caught the attention of blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, who made jxdn the first signee to his DTA Records label. Releasing his second single, “Angels & Demons”, on DTA Records, jxdn exploded in popularity, the song reaching the #22 spot on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, #5 on the Hot Rock Songs chart, and being certified Gold by the RIAA. Following up on the single’s success, he released another six songs that charted on the Hot Rock Songs chart, including another Top 10 rock hit, “So What!”.
At the start of 2021, jxdn featured on “la di die”, a song by his girlfriend Nessa Barrett which went on to reach the #11 spot on the Hot Rock Songs chart and nabbed him his first hit on pop radio, reaching the #30 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart.
In the Summer of 2021, jxdn dropped his debut album, Tell Me About Tomorrow, debuting at #95 on the Billboard 200 albums chart as well as #6 and #13 on the Alternative Albums and Rock Albums charts, respectively. In support of the album, jxdn embarked on tour, headlining his Tell Me About Tomorrow Tour and opening for Machine Gun Kelly on his Tickets to My Downfall Tour.
