Nominated for Best Urban DJ 2018 and Best Upfront DJ in ‘17 at the official Danish DJ Awards, John Vincent (aka JVC) is a Copenhagen based formerly B-Boy turned DJ and producer from the collective Dose Sampu. Hiphop is his main sound, but he isn’t afraid of blending genres when DJ'ing/producing. On a regular basis you can catch him mixing at a number of clubs in the CPH nightlife and in (The Freetown) Christiania. JV was part of the Official Resident DJ line-up at Roskilde Festival ’16, at the Countdown/Apollo Stage and besides his resident gigs, JV is a known face for being the opening act or host the afterparty for several international artists, including names such as Ms Lauryn Hill, Craig David, Ice Cube, Giggs, KRS-One, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli, IAMDDB, Rejjie Snow, Freddie Gibbs, Stormzy, MoStack, Big Narstie, Sneakbo, Smoke DZA, and more. JV has also been touring with the Danish reggae/dancehall collective, Bikstok Røgsystem and Donkey Sound. In 2016 and ‘17 JV was the tour-DJ for Gilli and Benny Jamz, playing over 80 shows around in Denmark. In 2019, JV performed with Danish artists Klumben & Raske Penge and Iris Gold. He is also a part of the Scandinavian DJ-collective, AproposLive. On an international plan, JV has had the privilege of performing in places like Notting Hill Carneval in London, Rinse FM France and Le Pompon in Paris, and the legendary Jamboree in Barcelona, along with open-air events on the mountains in Laax and Fête De La Musique in Charmonix, France.
