About Julia Kwamya

Singer/songwriter Julia Kwamya, aka “GERMANS,” started as a bedroom pop project to wrestle with the existential questions she had about her life. Drawing on influences ranging from Ebo Taylor, David Bowie, Joao Gilberto, and Kylie Minogue, Kwamya established herself as an equally catchy and electric writer with 2013’s “Cruel” produced by Kurt Feldman (Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Ice Choir) and “Wonderhow” produced by Josh Ascalon (Hooray for Earth, Neon Indian) and mixed by Kurt Feldman. In 2016 Kwamya hired producer/engineer Miles Robinson (Chairlift, MGMT, TV on the Radio) to craft her EP “Feel Good About Feeling Bad”. After being mixed by Chris Coady (YYY’s, Hooray for Earth, Future Island), the music is ready to be shared with the world. It has been a long beginning of the journey for the artist. Moody Disco is the Future!
