박수영 (Park Soo Young), born on September 3rd, 1996 in Jeju Island, South Korea, monoymously known as Joy is an Korean singer, dancer, and rapper under SM Entertainment. She’s known to be a member of the South Korean girl group, Red Velvet.

Instead of being in the SM Rookies project, Joy did a 2012 global audition where she eventually got accepted in as a trainee, and trained for two years to debut. She was then revealed as a member of Red Velvet on July 29th, 2014.

On May 31st, 2021 Joy made her solo debut with her first mini-album, titled 안녕 (Hello), which turned out as a success and helped her garnish much popularity.

Apart from Joy’s identity in the K-pop music industry, Joy is a female actress as well. When graduating from School of Performing Arts Seoul, she majored in acts, leading her to act in “The Liar and His Lover” and “Tempted.”
