English rock Drummer and producer Joshua J Macrae (actually born in Tel Aviv, Israel) is known as the co-producer for the most prolific solo artist of Queen. Roger Taylor, Queen’s drummer, was the first member of Queen to release a solo album (the first of five as of early 2021). Roger was one of the trio of singers (along with Freddie Mercury and Brian May) whose vocals were crucial in rendering the band’s signature vocal harmonies, punctuated by his stronger-than-Freddie’s falsetto (at least until about 1980-or-so).
As a songwriter for Queen, his best-known singles were hits in the 1980’s, most prominently Radio Ga Ga.
Macrae was also the drummer for Roger Taylor’s band, The Cross, yielding 3 studio albums, and has had a hand in producing Queen’s records (from live and studio recordings to re-masters and compilations) since Freddie Mercury’s death, including the final studio album Made in Heaven.
