Joseph Arthur (September 28, 1971) is an American artist, singer-songwriter.
He was discovered by Peter Gabriel in the 90’s, his first album Big City Secrets was released in 1997.
In 1999 his ep Vacancy received a grammy nomination for Best Recording Package.
In 2002 he released his third album Redemption’s Son which included the song “Honey and the Moon” which would later appear in the Film American Wedding and in the T.V show The O.C..
In 2005 his song “In The Sun” was covered by Michael Stipe and Chris Martin for the Hurricane Katrina Relief.
