Cherie Jones-Mattis, better known by her stage name JONES, is a British singer-songwriter. First emerging with the 2015 single “Indulge”, she became one of 2016’s most hyped artists with her soulful and electronic-influenced music. “Hoops” was released in late 2015 as a follow-up single, with the HONNE production “Melt” debuting in July 2016 accompanied by the announcement of her debut album, New Skin. Released on October 7, critics praised her warm vocals on the record and the variety of sounds explored. 2017 saw a number of collaborations released, including the Shy Luv single “Shock Horror” and CAZZETTE’s “Handful of Gold”. She saw out the year with the new solo track “Something Bout Our Love”, produced by TIEKS. New York and London were released as part of a planned series of acoustic EPs; however, the final Paris EP never materialised. JONES signed to BMG in 2020, releasing the produced version of London cut “Giving It Up” that May.
