Jon Fratelli is best known for his work as the front man of Scottish rockers The Fratellis. In 2009, when the band split up, Jon branched out with fellow Scottish musician Lou Hickey to form Codeine Velvet Club, who released one self titled album and after touring for about a year called it a day.
Jon then went on to craft a solo career for himself, using the musicians he recruited for Codeine Velvet Club. He reunited with producer Tony Hoffer and recorded his debut album “Psycho Jukebox” in LA before releasing it and touring it in 2011.
A second album was originally recorded in 2012 entitled “Bright Night Flowers” but this was shelved as the Fratellis decided to reunite and have been recording albums together ever since. However in 2018, it was revealed that Jon has re-recorded Bright Night Flowers. He scrapped half the album, and reworked what was left and will be releasing it in February 2019.
