About Jon E Clayface

Jon E Clayface is an MC, rapper, DJ and record producer from Charlton, South East London. His sound is equally inspired by grime, dubstep, trap and metal, and in 2011 he had a dubstep and drum and bass show on the radio station All Things Urban. His half-Guyanese parentage and Myanmarese heritage have also led him to write lyrics in Esperanto.

His musical journey started with self-taught guitar lessons, and in a 2016 interview with Hyponik, he cited Deep Purple, Slipknot, System of a Down and Wu-Tang Clan among his early influences outside of the grime scene.

He is currently a member of WAVE Gang alongside the likes of Ten Dixon, Shannon Parkes and Charlie Trees, and has released two EPs through their label, Mukky Wave Records. Keep Up was released in 2015, while 2017’s G.W.A.P is his most recent project. He regularly joins White Peach founder Zha for radio sets and live appearances.
