Jökull Júlíusson (born 20 March 1990), or JJ Julius Son, is the frontman of Icelandic band KALEO. He is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer focused primarily on writing songs with his band, including their second studio album, Surface Sounds.
While Julius started playing music at a young age it wasn’t until he was seventeen that he started KALEO with drummer David Antonsson and bassist Daniel Kristjansson in Reykjavík.
He shared in a 2016 interview with Rolling Stones that his musical inspirations stem from American blues and classic rock.
