John Nathaniel is an award winning Montreal based producer, songwriter and mixer. He is known for his blend of acoustic and electronic elements, combining live strings, movie-like arrangements and percussions in contemporary productions.
John co-produced, co-wrote and mixed OneRepublic’s most recent singles “Better Days”, which reached more than 50 million plays on Spotify, as well as “Wild Life”, lead single from Disney+ upcoming movie “Clouds”. He also worked on OneRepublic’s singles “Wanted”, “Didn’t I” and “Rescue Me”, the latter was certified Gold worldwide with 3 million copies sold and over 340 million plays on Spotify.
He recently worked on Kygo’s single “Lose Somebody”, featured on his third full-length album “Golden Hour”, released in 2020.
John also mixed Switchfoot’s singles “Native Tongue” and “Voices” on their latest album. The album won Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year at the 50th GMA Dove Awards.
He received 7 SOCAN Awards for his #1 songs on the Top 100 radio charts, co-writing, producing and mixing all of them. He has had over 25 songs reaching the Top 10 in the Top 100 radio charts and over 70 songs in the Top 100 in the past few years.
In 2017, John received the prestigious SOCAN Songwriter of the Year Award.
