About John Mayer Trio

John Mayer Trio is an American blues rock group fronted by pop-singer turned acclaimed-guitarist John Mayer. The group otherwise consists of bassist Pino Palladino, a quietly brilliant session musician and once-touring member with The Who, Nine Inch Nails and Paul Simon, and Steve Jordan, whose drumming gigs include Stevie Wonder, The Blues Brothers and David Letterman’s in-house band from 1982 to 1986.

The group has made two records as of August 2016 – 2005’s Try!, a live album, and an eight-song set on the 2008 live album Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live In Los Angeles.

They perform both originals – “Who Did You Think I Was?” and “Good Love Is On The Way”, for example – and covers, such as Hendrix’s “Wait Until Tomorrow” and Ray Charles‘ “I Got A Woman”.
