John Baker Saunders, Jr. born September 23, 1954 was a founding member and bassist for the alternative rock supergroup Mad Season as well as a member of the band The Walkabouts.
In 1994, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam met Saunders at the Hazelden Clinic where both were rehabbing. When they returned to Seattle, they formed Mad Season.
Saunders died from a heroin overdose on January 15, 1999.
