About Joel Faviere

Florida native Joel Faviere is an alternative rock singer/song-writer famously associated with the post-hardcore band Get Scared. Faviere joined the band in 2011, acting as lead vocalist on their second EP Built for Blame, Laced with Shame. Faviere was later replaced by Nicholas Matthews, the lead singer on Get Scared’s debut EP Cheap Tricks and Theatrics and full-length album Best Kind of Mess. Matthews would serve as lead singer until Get Scared’s breakup in 2019.

In late 2014, Faviere joined band SayWeCanFly, and performed with Mayday Parade’s Jason Lancaster on their North American tour.

On February 15th, 2017, Faviere was arrested on three accounts for the possession of child pornography and six accounts of the promotion of the sexual performance of a child. He was officially sentenced for twelve years in jail on May 11, 2018.
