Joe Henderson (April 24, 1937 – June 30, 2001) was a Jazz Tenor Saxophonist, composer and music teacher, globally revered for his versatility in Bebop, Blues etc.

He released 5 albums under Blue Note and featured in 25 more. He played a prominent role in his peers' music recordings, the likes of Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock etc.

He was a co-bandleader of the Jazz Communicators together with Freddie Hubbard.
