Jodie Abacus grew up on South East London, the borough of Lewisham to be exact. Through his radio DJ father, he was exposed to a broad range of styles. This evidently formed his approach to music.
His music including ‘Good Feeling’, released in 2015 on Household Records, zestily mixes early ‘80’s post disco R&B with singer/songwriter pop.
With a wide rage of influences including Hall & Oates, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, D Train, A Tribe Called Quest, Steely Dan, Paul McCartney, Stereolab, Michael Jackson, Maxwell, Cee-lo and more Jodie’s music has an element of nostalgia while at the same time being refreshing amongst the releases of 2016.
