The Father of Country music, James Charles Rodgers was the first to make the sounds of the fiddle, banjo, and guitar popular on national radio. He began many trends that would last long in the trade, including the classic country yodel. Jimmy, along with making others' songs popular wrote his own songs; some would go on to be covered by countless country stars over the years. After living the role model “ramblin man” lifestyle, Rodgers died at age 35. Almost every country artist today was influenced in some way by this man.
