About Jim Ward

Jim Ward is an american musician and songwriter from El Paso, Texas. He is most well-known as the rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist, and occasional pianist for influential Post-Hardcore band At the Drive-In. After the band’s first break-up in 2001, he formed Sparta along side Matt Miller as well as former At the Drive-In members Tony Hajjar and Paul Hinojos.

Ward also has a side project known as Sleepercar, which unlike the Post-Hardcore sound of At the Drive-In and Sparta, falls more under the labels of Alternative Country and Acoustic Rock. He has also released a number of solo records in this style of music.
