About Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison was an influential rockstar, best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the psychedelic rock band The Doors. Morrison’s main interest from a young age was poetry, which majorly influenced his songwriting. Two of his books of poetry were eventually published in 1971 after his death —Wilderness and The Lords and the New Creatures.

Morrison died at the age of 27, from an unconfirmed heroin overdose while in Paris—thus, sadly joining the mysterious 27 club. What is generally overlooked is the fact that Jim Morrison suffered from a variety of health issues, including chronic asthma, which may have been a factor in his death.
