Jim Korthe

Jim Korthe (June 26th, 1970 – January 13th, 2010) was an American vocalist, drummer, and social worker.

Jim’s career started in 1987 as a drummer for short-lived heavy metal band Phantasm. After the dissolution of Phantasm, Jim formed a new band named the Dimestore Hoods. The band released a self-titled album under MCA Records in 1996, but disagreements led the band to cut ties and rename themselves as 3rd Strike. 3rd Strike released Lost Angel under Hollywood Records in 2002 before disbanding in 2004. The band reformed in 2007, but no new albums were produced.

Jim was found dead in his home due to natural causes on January 13th, 2010 in San Pedro, California. He was 39 years old.
