Canadian-born singer/songwriter Jill Paquette DeZwaan (born 1979) is a folk musician and Christian pop singer. She launched her music career in 2003 with her first studio album, Jill Paquette, released by Reunion Records.

Hailing from Houston British Columbia, Canada, Jill Paquette fell in love with music at a very young age. Coming from a musical family, Jill grew up playing piano and singing with her father and older brother from the age of three.

Throughout her childhood and while attending Bible College in the Canadian province of Alberta, Jill has embarked on a journey with music. After learning guitar at the age of 16, Jill took a serious interest in songwriting. The motivation, stemming from her initial love for music, began to reveal itself as a gift from God.

The journey I have been on has been most important to me in knowing and seeking God. Oftentimes I will try to convey my deepest thoughts and feelings to someone, and the words aren`t exactly what I want to say. But when I write, there is clarity.

To be able to capture theses moments in something as accessible as a song is such an amazing experience for me, says Jill. I love to share songs I have written with others and see how God can use what ever I am willing to offer in His name and connect deeply with people.

Jill appreciates that music is a powerful platform where the saving power of Christ`s work on the cross can be expressed in a unique way that embodies the intimate with what can be a corporate experience. She also believes that being raised up to a position where people are gathering to listen to what you have to say is not to be taken lightly.

I am often reminded of the parable of the sower and the seeds and the truth it holds for everyone`s life. We may never know the work God is doing in people`s hearts but it is exciting to take God at His word when He says the Gospel does not return void. And so I am walking that out the best way I know how, seeking God`s direction.
