Born to a theatrical family, Jill Clayburgh (1944-2010) started acting in school and made her Broadway debut in 1968, where she gave well-received performances in musicals such as The Rothschilds and Pippin. Her lead role in the film An Unmarried Woman netted her the first of two Oscar nominations and led to a busy career in films and TV. Her final performance in Bridesmaids was released after her death from leukemia.
