About Jesus Loves Junkies

Jesus Loves Junkies is an industrial rock band formed by Jeff Wambolt in Tucson, Arizona. With the emergence of industrial music in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the musical style of Jesus Loves Junkies was heavily influenced by popular artists like Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. On the band’s now-defunct website, Jesus Loves Junkies was labelled as a “musical diary or documented exorcism.”

The song “Escape From Paradise” was featured on Music to Go POSTAL By, a compilation inspired by the Postal video game franchise. This allowed the band to gain a cult following nearly a decade after their final album. The band planned to write and record a follow-up album to The Great Escape from Paradise titled End of Line, but it was quickly cancelled.

On August 15th, 2023, Jesus Loves Junkies released “The Only Way” as the first single from their upcoming album. It came nearly 25 years after the band’s last release in 1998, The Great Escape from Paradise.

Wambolt’s other musical projects include Nullborn, Hardware Scarecrow, and Father Wormwood & the Faded Satans.
