About Jesse Quin

Jesse Joseph Quin is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer, best known as the bass player of the British band, Keane. He was born on September 3rd, 1981, in Bedford, England.

Jesse began his musical life at an early age. The first instrument he learned to play was the drums. He officially began his musical career in 2007 by forming the band Jesse Quin & The Mets along with some friends. Later that same year, he joined Keane on tour as a roadie. Jesse performed with Keane at a concert for War Child in 2007. He played bass on Keane’s cover of “Under Pressure”. After that, he was invited by Keane to help record their album “Perfect Symmetry” and then toured with them on the “Perfect Symmetry World Tour”. He recorded with Keane on the “Night Train” EP and became an official member of the band on February 3rd, 2011, when the band started working on their 4th studio album, “Strangeland”.

Jesse plays with various other bands and artists, including Mt. Desolation (with Keane band-mate Tim Rice-Oxley) and Mumford & Sons' side-project The Wedding Band. He used to play in Laura Marling’s band and also played in King Charles’s band.
