Jesse Hasek is the lead vocalist of the Knoxville, Tennessee rock band 10 Years. Hasek joined the band in 2002 after their former vocalist Mike Underdown left.
In a January 2016 interview with New Transendence, Hasek explained his inspiration for becoming a vocalist:
I kind of just tripped and fell into this thing, I had some friends that were all playin’ instruments and they didn’t have a singer so they were just like “wanna give it a shot?” It just happened, I didn’t even really know that I could sing or what potential I had of singing until I was 20. It took a long time to get comfortable as a frontman because I was much more shy and introverted and being a frontman, you gotta get over that fear.
